#Japan

For the past 30 years, many people in Japan feel that our country has been gradually weakened by political decisions that do not prioritize Japan itself.
Our infrastructure is aging, yet repairs and renewal are often delayed or ignored.
Tax money is increasingly sent overseas.
Systems have been created that make it easier for foreign capital to buy Japanese companies and assets.
One of the most pressing issues today is immigration.
Before the election, Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi stated that immigration would be reconsidered from a zero base, and she was elected with that message.
However, now policies promoting “multicultural coexistence” are being advanced, and many people feel that opposing opinions are ignored or quietly suppressed.
What feels especially urgent is the speed at which immigration has increased in Japan.
I would like to ask people in the United States:
Is it true that in New York City, large Muslim communities have become the majority in some areas?
Or is that misinformation or exaggeration?
I am not writing this to attack anyone.
I am writing as an ordinary Japanese citizen who feels deep concern about the future of my country.
From your perspective, how does Japan look today?
I sincerely want to hear your honest views from outside Japan.
